Hello

Does anybody know of a top left handed DJ ?

I would like to ask them questions for my A Level project?

Thanks

Left handed DJs.. That's a goodie.. isn't DJing nearly an ambidextrous sport
or am I just living in a right-handed world again?!

Ask me! I'm a 'top left-handed DJ' (whatever that means) and I've already told
you.
I thought we'd etablished in a previous thread that there is a certain degree of
ambidexterity involved, therefore your idea is pretty pointless. Wouldn't you
just be making a mirror image of a normal deck anyway, I mean what is the point.

Think of something else, eh?

I didn't just mean left handed for djing, cant they be a dj and be left
handed for other things? or must all djs be ambidextrous at everything they
do?

And your point is?????????
Yes I am lefthanded
Yes I am a DJ
Yes I do use both hands
Yes I do use my left hand to write with, point at people etc
No it doesn't stop me doing anything

I think most people would agree it is possible for lefthanded people to use
both hands while djing, and right handed people for that matter, and one-handed
people for that matter. I am still confused and <snip>

what about paul johnson from cajual, he's in a wheelchair but still uses
both hands

(I don't know how pertinent this is, but I thought I would add it anyway,
seeing as he has a real disability)

I'm right handed and use my left hand to manipulate the record and right
hand to cut on the fader.

A lot of creative people are left handed. <ducks the flames>

But physically it wouldn't matter surely? Hell, someone won the DMC mixing
championships one year by using his nose to scratch the record.

Ooh! Thanks for the props. I'm not left handed though... don't ask.
Well, ask if you want, but the answer isn't very interesting.

i use my left hand to manipulate the left deck, my right to use the right,
and whatever hand i'm not using on the fader!
i'm right handed, in case that matters.

I'm a left-handed DJ.

I use my right hand to place the needle on the record (duh)
I usually use my left hand to manipulate the records, so when I manipulate
the right one, my arms cross when I also fade.

Sometimes I use my right hand to manipulate the right deck, and then fade
with my left hand. Usually I do this when I crossfade Tommy Harding
/Hardhouse style.

Is this what u wanted to know?
