a bit of help pleaze......

I want to make a mix cd on my computer utilizing only mp3's. My problem is,
I can't find any decent software that will help me mix mp3's (.wav or
whatever). I tried using Soundforge XP, but other than just cutting and
pasting, I can't get the results I want.

My question: What program can I use that will allow me to set two songs at
the same tempo, cut what I need from one of the songs, overlay it onto the
next, edit a bit, then BAM! I have two songs mixed into one...?

It appears that my version of soundforge can do this, but I can't get the
tempo's in sync.

Anyways, if you know a program that can do this, or a better way to go about
it, please drop me a line. How do the professionals do it (short of mixing
it on turntables)???

This newsgroup is allways reving about BPM Pro i belive it is, thats one
option. I also had running the Digital SL1200 software with two sound
cards, one for monitors and one for master. This was great for mixing MP3,
once you get use to it.

I use SAWPro to remix tunes, but you'll have to find your own preference.
