After recently purchasing a lighting rig for our band I've been thinking
about what would happen if it ever fell on someone at a gig, overheated and
burnt the venue down or some other unlikely event - especially given all the
adverts on TV for claiming after accidents etc.

Has anyone else got themselves public liability insurance for this sort of
thing or can reccomend anywhere that does it ? I know you get it if you join
the Musicians Union at £77 a year

On the same note does anyone know how to reduce the sensitivity on a Ryger
foot controller ? and getting the band th eplay quieter is not an option ; )

TIA

Darren

I get public liability insurance with my Musical instruments insurance,
by Pavilions (Musicguard.) Gives me a quarter of a million of cover,
which is all I reckon I need if I accidentally poke someone on the eye
with a flying piece of fingernail or something...
