The awswer is to have an electrically conductive bridge saddle or find a way
of discreetly grounding the strings at the headstock... not easy or pretty.
I strongly suggest changing the saddle for a metal one and ensure it is
grounded. You may not like this idea, for sonic reasons... but frankly,
there is no other solution.

I get that on my Dean Markeley Sweet Spot pickup, which is also a piezo pickup.
It seems to stop if I hit the bridge with my thumb.
Your retuning suggests we both have the same problem, which is the pickup is
not making good contact with the bridge.
Make sure the foot of the saddle and the bridge are totally flat and make good
contact with one another. Or give the bridge a little tap with your thub and
see if that works.
It might not answer your question, but it helps me understand my problem more.
