I have just changed the pick-ups on my California Tele to Kent Armstrong
ones and I was really delighted with the excellent service given by Mike
Newsome and co. I sent several e-mails with various questions and each was
replied to very speedily, then on Thursday 11th I finally phoned in an order
for the pick ups at around 1.30 p.m. The very next day the package arrived
at my home in Dunoon up here in Scotland. Can anyone beat this for service?
Sincere thanks, Mike.
I have no connection with WD Music other than as a very satisfied customer.

Can't beat it, but I've had similar service from WD... stuff always arrives
quickly and they are extremely helpful either by email or on the phone.

Great service!

I bought 100 CDRs from Maplins on their web site at about 6:30 one evening a
couple of weeks ago. At 11pm same night I received an email saying they'd been
dispatched and they arrived at 8:30 the next morning. I was amazed.

Steve.

In reply to Bertie's mail:
Got the TCHR-1 for the bridge position and a Strat Tweed middle STV4M
(reverse wound, reverse polarity) for the neck, as the California tele had a
strat p.u. at the neck so the scratchplate cutout was a bit too big for the
small neck p.u. usually in the tele. Mike advised this, saving me some
awkward fitting. the two seem good together.

Seconded, they managed next day delivery on new knobs and jackplate for my
two Les Pauls. If you're reading, guys - thanks!

There was the time I bought a s/h Marshall JFX-1: asked the shop if they
had a manual. They said no, phoned Marshall, who asked to speak to me, and
took my address. They sent me the manual, free of charge, arriving in the
following day's post.

and I had a similarly speedy service from Maplins not long ago...
ordered it at 7pm, at 9pm an email arrives to say it's been dispatched.
Next morning before going to work... voila! my midi cables had arrived!

I phoned the company who hold the Westone name to see if could track down
some wiring diagrams for a Thunder 1A, I spoke to some bloke fairly high up
who said of course we can do that, I'll pass you on to the man you need to
speak to and did, I explained to him what I needed and he said no trouble
I'll get them in the post to you today. That was three years ago and I'm
beginning to think they might have forgotten....
