Hi,
Sorry to post off topic...
I'm about to buy some tickets and the seating plan has a "standing area" and
then 2 "layers" of seats.
Any opinions from people who've been before about which to go for would be
appreciated.
i.e. Is the standing area actually seated or is the lower tier of seat a
huge distance from the stage?

I'm looking at the popup in the ticketline website
http://www.ticketline.co.uk/event_availability.asp?EventId=25752&Performance
Id=1361415
if this link works..

Thanks

John P.

Depends on the gig and where the stage is. Usually its standing on the floor
and the stage is at the end, also if you get seats on the lower tier you can
actually be a good way from the stage or right on top of it if you're at the
side, the seating plan should be some help, check the seat numbers you've been
allocated on it before you buy them

Thanks Séan,
I was about to buy tickets for the Rush gig but only a few of the lower tier
seats are left and none in the standing area...
I'm now debating whether to get tickets (and bring some binoculars) or wait
and see if they add another night since demand has been so high...

Cheers

Again, check the seating plan. I saw Macca from the lower tier and I was
closer to the stage than the floor area. Also being only 5ft 10, most times
I've been on the floor I generally get to see bugger all anyway. I saw REM
there on the side lower tier (virtually in the top tier) and it was a
fantastic view if somewhat detached from the 'gig' experience. I felt sorry
for the people sitting behind the stage, nice view of the lighting rig...

Sad as it sounds I prefer sitting at gigs these days, my days of crowd
surfing are well behind me! (thankfully for everyone else, as I aint that
light anymore!)
