Anyway, I have just uploaded about 40 pictures of the evening. Please
be aware that they are each about 1.25Mb in size - straight off the
camera, so will take a while to load even on a fast Broadband
connection. They've been set to display at 300 x 225 pixels so they fit
in 2 columns, but they are loaded full size, so just right-click and
Save if you want any as a permanent record.
If you can wait 'till Thursday I will create a more sensible page with
clickable thumbnails so you can choose what you want to see before
downloading. Oh yes, and I'll rotate the Portrait shaped ones so you
don't have lie on your side to view them.

No leave them - sometimes it's easier to look at them lying down!

Aha - *that* southern jam.
However, not southern enough ;).
It was good to meet you and the small band of ukmg'ers who came along.
Everyone seemed to have enjoyed it and the venue have said we can go
back anytime, so fingers crossed we may get to do a couple-or-three of
these a year if there is interest. As ever with this kind of thing it
was the people who made it a great event - there was a great atmosphere.
Steve W was an absolute gent and without him it would have been a very
different occasion - sincere thanks Steve - I hope you had fun. If we do
it again the spare room is yours so you have the option to have a beer!
From a personal perspective I broke my performance (guitar and vocal)
duck in a very small but enjoyable way and watched some great
performances from the more accomplished guys.

Sounds like notWigan (or the Spring equivalent) would be right up your
street, then!
Good to see it all went well, and it looks like you had a decent
turn-out, too... lots of faces I don't recognise on Roger's pics, apart
from Nick/wynir0, Sian, SteveW and Tom.

Agreed. I'd heard about his reputation (on the drums) here on ukmg, and
he lived up to expectation. And he put in a good performance on guitar
too.

If you're hanging about on ukmg, let us know I'll turn up if available.
Even though I didn't play, I had a great evening, and for the next one I
may well enter the cheapest guitar competition, and play it as well.

And a well performed duck it was too.
Just as an aside, what was going on downstairs? When I was trying to
take a photo of the outside, there were some p'heads from downstairs who
wanted their photo taken - mooning!

You guys are most welcome. By UKMG standards it was a very brief encounter
... but great fun. I really enjoyed playing the guitar too. I'm definitely
up for the next one.
Also - it'd be nice to know who is who in that other "virtual circle" of
guitarists. Do you have a rogue's gallery or set of photos with names / ids
attached?
Oh - and a big up to the bass players. We were rocking right from bar 1.
Great fun.
Cheers,
Steve W
If somebody (Tim?) can give me a listing by picture, I'll add the names as
captions later in the week.

I've stuck Roger's Jam pics on the "other place's" pic gallery :
www.thegasstation.co.uk - have a shufty.
I'll add more names and pseudo-witty coments later in the week.
At Steve's suggestion I've also started a rouge's gallery of the
forumites there too - there's a few on there already. If ukmg'ers want
to register on the Gas Station to host their gear pics then feel free. I
do keep an eye on it so any non-gear stuff gets removed ;-)
