Hello,

Looking for recommendations on a 1/2 size budget steel string acoustic
guitar for my youngest. He already has a real cheapo 1/2 size nylon strung
but it does sound dull and is horribly made.

Something that can be strung with the very lightest strings with an
adjustable action of some sort ? Circa £ 50 ? A few items on various web
sites but just hoped that someone had already had experience with one or two
guitars.

Cheers

Ross

If I was in the market for a cheap small guitar that played well I would
contact David Kilpatrick and see what he has in stock. I've never
actually bought anything from him, but he's one of those people that
gives you a good feeling.

Have a look at <http://www.troubadour.uk.com/>; specifically, the
Blondel Cittern Guitar. It would stretch your budget to the £100 mark
I'm afraid, but you'd get a player - which is, after all, what your son
needs.

I have, and I second the advice. He was a pleasure to deal with, and the
guitar I had from him is superb.

try feeding him milk through his nose from a spoon.

Thirded, bought a bouzouki from him. Amazingly good instrument for the
price and he couldn't have been more helpful.
