Hi,
A couple of years back I was quite taken with a London band called
Rooster. They looked a bit like a boy band, and I suppose in a literal
sense they may have been, but they played some good rock stuff, in a
popular kind of way, 2 or 3 chart hits. I wasn't so taken with their
second album which although good seemed to be vocals sitting on top of
the music, as opposed to the music wrapped around the vocals, but I was
wondering what had happened to them, and now I gather they have split
up. :(
I appreciate they won't have been everyone's cup of tea, but does anyone
know what happened to them, and if they are finding new homes in other
bands or what.
I also used to like a Glasgow band called Gun, but I appreciate I
probably shouldn't post after drinking wine.
Cheers.
It's all here:

I liked them too - great guitars - although I probably wasn't in their
target demograophic.

Isn't Wikipedia great?

Steve.
Thanks. Sad. :(
"With musical differences and difficulties with the record company the
band announced their split via their MySpace on 23 January 2007."
I'd like to know more though.

I know what you're saying but I suspect the band themselves would have
been happy to have our appreciation. I try to not hold the fact that
they were percieved as good looking and a "girlie-friendly" band put me
off them. :)

Blimey, they're up and running again, but without Mark Rankin on vocals
I have my doubts.....
