Battle Bar V - Oop North????

How about us lot trying out Northern hospitality - if it exists - by
getting those Oop North to stage Battle Bar V????? OK, I know they don`t
have a Page`s Bar, but they must have some decent place where we could
all congregate.
Anyone fancy the idea???????

Perhaps when Derek finally gets his bloody new house sorted, he can have a
huge "do the painting and decorating" Party, where we all bring a gift - he
has nothing to put in his house having left EVERYTHING for his ex...... -
and a paint brush and we get thev place painted together over the weekend?

That sounds like a superb idea. Im fairly competent at decorating and
suchlike.
Is there a specific house in progress or is the search progressing?

Oh he has!! Not a very big one but big enough for a tent. :-)) Maybe
he'll post you a picture of his little 2 up 2 down cottage... It's lovely,
but very run down inside. It'll need a lot of decoration... <gggg>

Yeah! I'd never dream of doing stuff like that in my own house - it's
famously trashy - but doing decorating or any task like that with a whole
bunch of people is great fun. I always volunteer for painting and
decorating sets at the theatre. We did this Massive Staircase once for a
play called Lettuce and Lovage, and I was painting at the top and got
"painted in" <gggg> All these big guys had to lift me over the top
banister to get me down..... It was great!!
