A quick Google of his name says that his real name was John Strachan. I
love that particular ep of Auf Pet.

But tyo come up with Ying Tong as a stage name!
Great episode - the headbut was classic!
Erm, Ying Tong has a rather racist meaning round these parts though I
would hope he took the name in homage to the Goons.

Very possibly. I think Spike once described Harry as having all the
musical abilty of a chair leg so it would seem he might be. :-)
The River Po is in China, no?

Ying tong iddle I po, got it in one, unlike me who needed two to get the
racist bit :-)
There are quite a lot of clifflike features around there. Without
knowing where he started from, where he was going, and where he went
wrong, it would be hard to figure out.

I cheated, it looks like it's on the road from Todmorden to
Littleborough according to Google Earth.
Then I'm afraid Google Maps is wrong, it's in Calderdale which is in
Yorkshire.
Wikipedia
The historic county boundary between Yorkshire and Lancashire was marked
by the River Calder which runs through the centre of the town. The
border was altered by the Local Government Act 1888, whereby today all
of Todmorden lies within West Yorkshire. The town is served by Todmorden
railway station.
LOL
But have you seen the bloke - a bearded crooked nose bruiser - classic!
