Hank (Billy Bob) bought a garage and called it "Leticia's" after the girl.
She visited him at home and was racially abused by his father, she did a
runner. He put his father in an old peoples home. Him and her get back
together and she moves in. She discovers a drawing that her executed husband
did of Hank when he was a prison officer and makes the connection, she get
very upset but calms down and doesn't mention it when Hank returns home. The
ending was ambiguous, with them sat next to each other, him saying " I think
we're gonna be ok"
A beautifully dark and intense film, unpleasant in parts but I really
enjoyed it. I missed the beginning and have a couple of questions.
- Why did Hank hate his son so much?
- What happened to make Hank attack his son and blame him for ruining "that
man's last walk"?

Quite by accident, I tuned in right at that moment.
Which was nice.

No, he tracked down the killer of Halle's career. Namely, that
"Wah wah, you should give me lots of Oscars because I'm black" speech.
I bet. Hard to concentrate after le petit mort?

Oh right. That makes more sense now.
Thanks
