Missed it!
Repeated tonight (ITV2, with bug)? Of course, that clashes with Geena
Davis on Living.. Oh well.... :-)

WINNER GROVELS FOR CHEQUE
<photo>
Grovelled ... Richard with tatty cheque
By JOHN SCOTT
A COCKY contestant on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? had to grovel for his
money back after throwing away a cheque for £32,000.
Host Chris Tarrant looked horrified as arrogant Richard Deeley screwed the
cheque into a ball and hurled it across the studio - because he was sure he
would double his money on the next question.
The accountant tried to outdo witty Chris by telling him: "I won't be
needing that."
But when he got the question WRONG and asked for the cheque back, annoyed
Chris said: "Well, I'm not getting it."
Shamed Richard, 33, had to scramble on the floor for the paper.
He was too embarrassed to watch last night's pre-recorded show and said: "It
was a joke which backfired spectacularly."
Bachelor Richard, from Nottingham, got ten questions right to land the
guaranteed £32,000.
Chris said: "Most would be delighted with £2,000 and £8,000 would be enough
to sort out the lives of many folk.
"But screwing up a cheque for £32,000 and throwing it across the floor -
that is something else. There was a lot of unwelcoming body language while
that bloke was in the chair."
Richard said: "I remember thinking Chris did not look very happy."
The £64,000 question was: "In which sport are white goose feathers an
important feature, especially at international level?" A Darts, B Archery, C
Fly Fishing or D Badminton.
Richard rang a friend and said archery. The answer was badminton.
On Wednesday The Sun told how David Edwards, 52, had become the second
person to win £1million on the show.
