Any idea who does the voiceover for the co-op ads? You know, the one
which says: "good with food." A scottish accent I think. Apologies to
him and his family but his voice seems a bit self-absorbed and smarmy.

Do you mean "gud with fud"?

According to
http://www.marketingmagazine.co.uk/news/945546/Co-op-launches-online-radio-ad-campaign/
and his wikipedia entry, it's John Hannah.

Soon to be seen frolicking with a naked Lucy Lawless
in the new 18-rated TV series 'Spartacus: Blood and Sand'.

How TF can you be, when I am ?

I know, everybody wants to be me - but really, this is getting beyond a
joke.
I'm gunna charge the next person to claim that they're me.

For example: John Smith (the one true Spartacus)

That's John Hannah for you. Decent actors though they are, his and
Peter Capaldi's voices have always got on my nerves.

I thought it sounded like David Tennant, but anyway only a Scot can
rhyme "good" with "food".
