Although I'm a Kipper, I have to say that they have a point. The
Scottish Green party did better than Ukip at the last election and may
well beat them this time too, so it's hard to justify Farage being on
again. Galloway's chair should have been given to the Scottish Green,
and an extra chair brought on for a Lib Dem, and Otto Inglis should have
been on instead of Farage.
It should be standard practice to have all the sizeable parties'
candidates on Question Time before a by-election to Westminster or one
of the regional assemblies. I suspect that the South Shields woman might
have lost the recent by-election if anyone had actually heard her speak.
And if she refused to go on, they shouldn't have let another Labour
figure take her place.
