We are now cut off from civilisation, 650 feet above sea level and a
good 4 inch of snow and still falling, all roads out of the village
impassable.

Should be supermarket day tomorrow but thankfully we have full store
cupboards and freezer and more important a couple of litres of Bells.

The milkman managed to deliver before the roads got too bad, he's never
missed in forty odd years.

Ah well, we couldn't go out anyway.

So where are you. I'm being told I can go out for my voluntary work, but
obviously care has to be taken. Its common sense, after all, but not
everyone has it and this is the problem!

I was being a little sarcastic, I'm in Kirkheaton in Yorkshire and we
can go shopping for essential items, the supermarket must be one of
them.
I would hope by Friday the roads to and from the village will have been
cleared, I just have to get off our small estate onto the main roads, at
least I can try out my new All Wheel Drive Kia Sportage.

I can't really risk going out when it's icy, because of disabilities.
Fortunately, here in Surrey, that usually only applies a few days a year.

Richard.

Apparently it's been pretty bad in the North and East.
Around here there was one significant dumping the other morning, but
that all melted the same day.
