Whilst surfing around I stumbled across a posting about a girl named
Melissa Wilks who used to star in Grange Hill (Jackie).
I sure had a crush on her!!.....

I remember thinking at the time how gorgeous she was. I wonder what
she's up to now. I'll have to google her. :-)

I've got a copy of Maxim, FHM or something like that from a few months ago.
It features *schoolboy crushes* and it had her doing a photo-shoot. I'll
dig it up if I can find it.
Wasn't she Zammo's girlfriend? If her imdb profile is correct, it looks
like she's probably waitressing in Macedonia now (last media work: 1994).
http://imdb.com/name/nm0929179/
"Notorious for an innocent slip (often repeated on blooper shows) that
she made when she was presenting a children's TV show at the age of
eight. She was reading a news report about motor-racing which referred to
the Grand Prix - except she pronounced it Grand Pricks!"

I think it was on Why Don't You Switch Off Your TV Set and Go and Do
Something Less Boring Instead?
mick
You could quite possibly be my god.
That page is too long! ;)

Then she'll be acquainted with that other soap beauty (cough),
Jac<flem-noise>qui Dixon, who also presented that show that was no good
for me.

For some reason, I always attributed that to a young Susan Tully.
IIR,C it was 'Our Show'.
Just checked on TV Cream and they concur.

LOL! She should be given a job on The Salon. She can look forward to
being made 'employer' of the week and her colleagues will look forward to
another child 'progidy' about the place.
Eh Jacqueline? ;)

That'll be Maxim then, as it's not in FHM

won't get a reply. Use the reply to header

I thought she was great and I'm surprised she didn't go on to much
better things.
I guess looks weren't everything back then!
me too, on tiswas. But I'm sure discussions on umtm told me otherwise
(still think I'm right though!)
Melissa Wilks definately did the 'Grand Pricks' gaff, but Sue Tully
was also on that same show a bit earlier in it's short lived history.
Also interested to see from recent Zammo interview that he seriously
had the hots for her, but she wasn't keen.
Good luck!
Maybe that was part of the attraction. That such a beautiful girl would
be attracted to the average, short & dumpy lad. Only in fiction though. ;)

You`re not on the turn are you Lee;-)
mick
If I was sexually attracted to beauty, I'd have spent my entire
adolescence fucking everything from flowers in blossom to various classic
cars and stately homes. Thank goodness I had some self-control. ;)
Samantha Lewis (Georgina Hayes ) was far nicer.

Didn't recognize the name, but did her picture...
http://www.grangehill.net/starfile/lewis.html
"Samantha is working for the PR department of O2, formerly BT Cellnet,
based in Leeds. She has been spotted at trade fairs and stands around
the North."
Doesn't she ever get tired from standing around?
Geoff.
Dunno. I suspect it isn't on a corner though.
