Film ID please

[Theodore]

Trying to remember the name of a film, mid to late 80s I think.

Film starts with a lad starting his first day at a new US boarding
school.

Other lads play a joke on him with him ending up half naked and girls
laughing at him.

He then gets his revenge by pretending to hang himself in his room.

Really not sure what happens next, but I think he goes off and ends up
sleeping with the mother of a fellow school mate.

Any ideas?

Another of those who was huge in the 80s but has almost totally
disappeared in recent years.
In fact most of the "Brat Pack" could be included in that actually,
acting wise at least.

Oh no! Please stop going on about my lack of hair I find it extremely
