I thought I'd got out of my tardis at the wrong day today when I tuned into
Pointless and saw the same questions being played out as I saw just a few
days ago (Scottish islands etc).

So I switched channels and what do I find but Ice Cold In Alex which I also
watched only about a week ago. However this was on Film Four where every
film they show seems to be one they've shown recently. So I decided to
check my calendar and it turns out it is today after all, the Pointless
thing just seems to have been the Beeb getting it's revenge on people who
were complaining about too many repeats on POV the other day.

Repeats of quiz shows, truly pointless.

Last week they asked essentially the same question on The Chase and
Eggheads, on the same day - they gave a rap artist's real name and the
contestant had to pick out the stage name. That is, the *same* artist.

Yet someone in this newsgroup was claiming last week that they were not.

Only for people who have no lives, so never miss an episode or twenty.

She said: What I liked about it was I had a lot of things to say, and basically
they sat there and just listened - so, it was a genuine conversation.

Isn't there supposed to be something in the EPG that tells you it's a
repeat? There is an 'S' for subtitles but nothing else.

It's not a repeat because it was previous shown on a different channel

(right PITA that rule is)

Radio Times shows (R) for repeat. I do watch them because I only
discovered the show this year, so I haven't seen these ones. I only
noticed something different because the recent ones gave 5 choices of
subject for the finalists, but these earlier ones only gave 3.
