Hi!
Somebody at work the other day said "All Aboard The Skylark" in a singsong
sort of voice and it prompted the question - what was that from? After much
debate and head scratching we came up with nothing except that there could
be a Richard Briers connection and a Captain Birdseye type character. Does
anybody know what programme the phrase was from?
Thanks in anticipation.

Gillian dragged herself away from 'Abba The Movie' and noticed that on
Sat, 30 May 1998 21:18:45 +0100, "Andy Bryson"

Noah and Nelly. There used to be a video (Channel 5 vids I think) but
I don't know if it's available anymore.

Noah and Nelly - a five minute animated series from the Roobarb stable in
the old BBC1 pre-news slot, and I think old Dicky Briers did do the
narration. There was an ark which floated along (on balloons IIRC), and all
the animals had a head at each end of their body. Noah and Nelly wore
sou'westers - you couldn't see much of their faces, but ISTR Nelly used to
do lots of knitting. Like Roobarb, it was very surreal and overdue for a
repeat.

Well, rather more in the Godfrey style of Roobarb/Henry's Cat, I'd have said
