There's a particular piece of background music they've been playing in
Brookside for years. From what I can make out from the chorus it's called
some like 'Tomorrows Just Another Day'. The most recent occasion was when
Rachel and Mike were talking behind the counter in Bar Brookie this week
(I've just watched the omnibus and think that it would of been in
Wednesday's episode).
Has anybody else noticed this or knows the real song title and artist? The
background music is a bit 'samey'.

What's happened to the 'Magic Bunnies', I haven't seen them in ages!

Brookside regulars will probably already know this.

To avoid paying broadcasting fees and royalties Brookside commisions
its own background music.
There are a number of different "tunes", one of the oldest is a song
probably titled "I'm never gonna fall in love again" which was first
used back in the Shelia Grant days.

All the music which was used in the old La Luz club was specially
made too as are all the TV programmes the characters watch.

A few weeks ago in a scene in Bar Brooky background music was used
that was from the "Lost Weekend" video.

Just out of interest which version of the theme tune do people
prefer? The old electronic 80's style theme or the current version?

As far as I am aware all music is written and performed by Steve
Wright & Dave Roylance who wrote the original theme tune.

I would imagine that all the songs used in the background are original
compisitions by the people who do the Brookie theme tune. There's
another song which goes something like "I'm never gonna fall in love
again". I read somewhere that in order to keep the budget as low as
possible, Brookie never uses music in the charts, as they would have to
pay royalties to the artistes concerned. Therefore, I think Redmond
would pay someone at Mersey TV to knock up some backing tracks. However,
Hollyoaks uses "normal" music, so why not Brookie? Hmmm

Good question!! Haven't seen Meadowcroft Park either for a while!
