A documentary about of a group of British people training in Khasakstan
to be sent into space woouldn't be getting much viewing attention.
Nobody was watching when Helen Sharman did it. Why not spice it up, by
pretending that the whole set up is a fake, and presenting it as the
latest 'reality' TV concept?
Imagine you're an anonymous british millionaire, and it's going to cost
you about 13 million pounds to go into space with the russian space
agency. Ouch. You could part fund your expedition by doing a deal with
endemol. They made 20 million pounds from their last series of big
brother, so they'll probably be happy to pay for half of it.
According to press reports, Buzz aldrin visited the site to check its
authenticity. Buzz Aldrin isn't a Russian astronaut, and why would
someone like Buzz Aldrin be involved in a cruel hoax? Buzz Aldrin,
however, might be involved in a scheme to use the popularity of reality
TV as an educational tool to increase the awareness and appreciation
for space exploration.
The hoax will be revealed when one of the 'contestants' releases
themselves from their seats and floats towards the camera in zero
gravity...
The ultimate irony... a 'reality' TV show is a hoax because it's
actually real.
Of course, that could all be total bollocks :-)
...but is it?
Muahahahahaaa!!
