Some of the questions are rather...obvious. "I am almost mystically

I'm shocked.

Ahhh that explains it ;) .... actually I'm currently in an alternate
reality. And, as we all know, time moves at different paces in
alternate realities, so actually Fred is now a well established
character in the quiz reality ..... thus the website was able to do a
compare and contrast. Glad that one's sorted!

The question is - do you really want to be like any of them?? They may
have personailty traits useful for Demon Hunting etc, but I'm not sure if
any of them could cut it in the "Real World".
I wonder if this is warm and fluffy Cordy or Queen C?
Stewart
In my case I can't comment on whether I'd like to be like Fred or not.
So taking my second best match ..... The Host .... would I want to be
like him?
Well, I guess I'd quite like to be flamboyant, dress in outrageous
clothes and be able to get away with addressing a potentially very
dangerous adversary as "Angel Cakes" . And being prescient would be
quite neat (and rather useful in work). I also like the fact that his
first option when faced with danger is to get away (I can readily
identify with this).
But owning a Karaoke Bar ...... now that's where I draw the line. I
hate karaoke with a vengeance that borders on the pathological! So,
sadly, I'd have to say (in the final analysis) that I wouldn't swap.
As to whether they could cut it in the real world ..... I expect Fred
and Lorne could both make it .... (even given Lorne's horns and skin
colouring). Cordy? She'd probably be OK - she'd make it as a
secretary. Wesley would be a researcher in an Oxford college - he'd be
good at that. Gunn - well, he'd probably be dead or in jail. Angel, of
course, has a problem - are we allowed vampires in our "real world"
..... or is would he just be a mortal loner fighting for justice?
Interesting question Stewart.
Helen
Yes very interesting. I am with you on this.
So yes
Fred = physicist going through a massive lifestyle change. Yep she would
cut it but being Merkin would need therapy to get her through it.
Lorne = Flamboyant host, well there are plenty like him around. but he
is also street smart. He would probably be a bar owner with a sideline
in clairvoyancy. Oh and would probably have a smart interior designer
boyfriend. (hey we are going for stereotypes right?)
Cordelia = definitely secretary material, although her secretarial skills
are awful. So she would be an aspiring PA, but probably wouldn't make
that. She could work for a government office though. They would be able
to allow her the lifestyle she would be able to afford but not the one
she would like, but would forgive the slight inaccuracies she made.
Wesley - yep all for researcher at Oxford. Probably something either
humanity based or history. I falter here now cos I have very little
experience of how unis work at this level.
Gunn - hmmmm I would automatically say he would be in a gang somewhere,
not fighting demons but drugs mebbe. Or be involved in drugs. But you
know I bet he would be one of the street-smart guys who came from the
gutter and is now helping homeless kids, but not in the organised way
that Anne does it. He would be the guy on the street that the other guys
defer to. Mind you mixing with a civil servant and an Oxford
researcher/lecturer wouldn't help his street cred.
Angel - oh Angel, Angel, Angel. Lets see what we have here. Made into a
real life stereotype he would be someone who had a poor upbringing
(emotionally I mean). He would be Irish. He would have done some bad
things in his time which he could blame on his upbringing. He is trying
to make up for this. I would say a guy running a drop in. A loner
though so he would need help with the kids. He would be the father
figure type. Bit of a loner and so the others would help him to
communicate with his drop in attendees. Of course he would get involved
in cases where the kid had been wrongly accused so would have to
investigate. He wouldn't be recognised by the Police but would sort of
work with them. He had to leave his previous home due to a dodgy
relationship with one of the kids that was then exposed.
Kate - pre-sacking she would be in the Juvenile division.
W&H - law firm specialising in defending drug runners, pushers and pimps.
In fact we could have Angel running a drop-in, Gunn bringing kids from
the street to him, Cordy would do charity work in her spare time (as an
advancement technique initially but then getting more involved), Wesley
would want to study the kids for his research in Environment and its
effects on Criminal activity. Fred would be a drop-in attendee,
originally because of her life crisis leading her into a life of
hallucinogenic drugs, but now being saved she would become one of the
staff. Caritas would be the place where they hang out after but identify
with Lorne as he also had a hard upbringing but is working through it
through song.

Yep - nice stereotyping there. Perhaps Lorne and "Angel Cakes" could
get together.

I think I prefer this Gunn to my "dead or in jail". I was working on
the principle that being a gang leader in LA taking on real "big bads"
would have meant him going out against drug lords and child pimps etc
(possibly trying to save his sister from her crack-dealing-pimp
boyfriend). I would imagine this would result in him either getting
himself dead or crossing the line and getting caught. But I like your
idea of him being a local protector of some sort.

Lovely bit of "what if'ing" there (9/10 .... 1 point deducted for the
dismount).

Interesting. I've been spoilt a bit for S2, so I didn't mind taking this

she and has something to do with goats, but this scares me.

ah yes, Fred, the infamous goat woman of Thraaag. mostly human except for
her cloven hooves, Fred assists Angel in episode 16 'dark and broody, on a
farm'.
or alternatively, she has nothing to do with goats at all :)
fred is a librarian/physicist (yes that does look mighty strange there) who
the gang meet in the latter half of season two. she is indeed a girl and
she's very cute - some people on the group seemed quite interested in that
for some reason <g>
however to be honest, we really don't actually know much about her at this
stage. to tell you more and to tell you why would perhaps spoil you more
than you'd like.
so i'll just say that she's an unknown factor at this point, which is why
it's so odd that many people are getting Fred at number. Though, conversely
this does of course make a lot of sense. maybe.
oh and she's not related to goats as far as any of us know. maybe that's a
season three spoiler.....
natalie
Maybe we should list three characteristics we have like the character? I'd
like to see what three things (or so) about Fred people feel associated
with. She's at least 2nd or 3rd on most everyone's list.
