Hi,

Anyone remember a DJ called Paul Carrington?
He worked on Signal Radio (now Signal 1) in the early nineties
presenting a show called "The Late Night Funster Show". It ran from
about 11pm-2pm. Then he moved to present the Breakfast Show.

He was sacked from Signal for a naughty comment about Michael Jackson
(so I believe). I then caught up with him doing the Breakfast Show on
Minster FM in York.

That was five years ago. Where he is now is anybody's guess. I'm
trying to put a website together. I have some old radio footage of
him which used to crack me up.

Any information would be greatly received.

Also - anyone know how to get hold of "The Witchfinder General" aka
Dave Wade? His spooky horror stories were absolutely brilliant.

Cheers,
Dave.

Paul was on Classic Gold, presenting 8pm onwards..... thought I haven't
seen him in the listings recently. He was also doing weekend Breakfast
on the Viking FM MW station.

Give Classic Gold a ring ring in Dunstable, maybe.

"Funster we hate you, Funster we do..." I remember listening to that. Must
have been ages ago, cos I remember them using what sounded very much like
the Old "Music At The Spped Of Light," Luxy jingle package.

Isn`t he on Classic Gold now, or have a dreamt that up?

While were at it - anyone noticed how Sunshine 855 has become a bit of a
Beacon Radio old boys club?

He recently starred as "Stan The Fabric Highwayman" in a hilarious
series of ads on Viking FM.

Not listened for a while - but they either have, or have had

Alan Nicklin, Jay Thomas, Mark Hanna (Tony Paul ex of 103.1FM Drive in
disguise), and Ian Perry.

I'm not close enough to pick it up, unfortunately.

So, Tony Paul is not his real name, not a shock really.
And Ian Perry, half of Myatt & Perry fame. Wonder if Pete wagstaff will
take them on board for Telford FM?

Arrgghhh! Just when I was beginning to forget. We used to go back to the
studio after a Sunday night drink or few and he was on.

Nurse, I need another pill, now!

I remember listening to the Funster show on piccadilly radio, which would have been 1152am. I think this was before he moved to signal radio. I phoned up a few times. Fond memories as a kid, that's for sure!
