I posted at some length earlier outlining a possible
way to make better use of the frequency spectrum
currently allocated to 6 music.

I suggested a kind of BBC-run TALK radio as TALK
was in its earlier days--an open-ended hodge-podge
of real-time chat and caller comments about the
news or BBC features of the day.

What then occurred to me is that if this were done
by way of local rate lines (problem being that there
is no way to guarantee any maximum cost applies
on all networks) or call backs from a log of calls, the
gaping vacuums that are Saturday and Sunday
mornings could be set aside for kids.

Whilst this may not answer the question of whether
we'd evolved language before we started getting rid
of our fur and the evolutionary advantages of fewer
tick infestations did the rest, then researchers may
get, at least, some more insight into the possible
boundaries of our polyglot pronunciation circuits;
as well as break genuine new presenting talent to
the peers which will stay with them for the rest of
their careers, probably.
