Who is Felicity Finch ?

Back in 1980 (ish) I used to know a young actress called Felicity Finch.
Then I went to live in Italy for 15 years...
Now I'm back. I wonder if Ruth Archer is played by the same person I knew.
Can anyone tell me anything about Felicity Finch?

Having met her I can say that Felicity Finch is still playing Ruth
Archer. She comes from the north east. Her first stage apperance was
in Carousel at the age of 10. She trained at the London Drama centre
and travelled with the Old Vic Company. She has worked on TV in the
Piglet Files and Bleak House. Last I knew she was working for
Northumberland Theater Company in plays where the actors are tractors,
sheep and houses???? That All I know. (Quoted from the Archers Addicts

One of the rules of Equity, the actors' professional association is that
the same stage name may not be used by two members. But Ruth Archer is
28 and if they chose an actress of about the same age as the character
FF would have been 12 in 1980.

Ahah! Did FF shave her legs and a few years off her age when she became
the delectable Ruth?

Simon, I will not ask the crass and obvious question about how well you
knew her.

Did the FF you knew have a Northumbrian accent ?
ISTM that it's too authentic to be _put on_ and I lived up there for the
best part of twenty years.
