Highlander - what happened to Tessa?

questions on any topic, my wife has challenged me to get help to solve a
current problem.
A new series of Highlander has started on Sky 1 on every weekday at
00:30-01:30 but unfortunately, because of the ridiculous start time, we
missed recording the first few episodes.
Can anybody tell us what happened to Tessa, Duncan McCloud's live-in
girlfriend? It would appear from a comment, made to him by Richie, that
she is dead but as Richie has suddenly become an immortal like Duncan I
wonder what else of significance we have missed.
Thanks for any assistance or pointers to a more appropriate forum or
newsgroup to seek this information.

Here sayeth the oracle:
It was the last episode of the second season. There was an evil
immortal who lured the others into dark rooms and fought them in the
dark using night vision goggles. Of course, he kidnapped Tessa to lure
MacLeod there. Mac showed up, freed Tessa and fought the evil
Immortal. Meanwhile, Tessa goes outside to the car with Richie. Along
comes a drug-addict/mugger who proceeds to rob them and shoot them
both. Duncan comes out and finds them. Mucho tragedy. Then Richie
"wakes up" and discovers that he's now an Immortal too (of course, the
reason why Duncan took him under his wing in the first place). But
Tessa's really and truly dead. Duncan mourns her for the better part of
season three until Amanda (lead character of the new series you mention)
turns up from his past. There are numerous Tessa appearances in the
following seasons after she's dead, concluding in the first part of the
show finale in the sixth season where Duncan sees what Tessa's life
would have been like if he had not been in it, ala "It's a Wonderful
Life". And that's waaaay more than you wanted to know.... <eg>

Thanks for investigating on our behalf and getting such a comprehensive
report. Please give our thanks to a true oracle <eg>.
We used to tape Highlander from ITV on Thursday mornings at 00:40-01:40
and obviously missed this last episode... It appears that we have many
seasons to look forward to when ITV restart it, independent of the current
Skye 1 season.
If the oracle knows of any sources of information on the Highlander series
we would appreciate hearing about them.
