Is it right to still call it "itv3 + 1"?

Channel 59 on FreeView used to be a delayed version of "itv3", from 9pm
to 4 am.

But now, if I select it, I get a banner page saying

Programmes
return at 4 am

itv3 +1

but when I look at the EPG, I see that it's teleshopping from 4-6 am,
just "this is" outside that time.

Is it valid to still call it itv3+1?

I am also told to go and look at the EPG for ITV3 - but it does not
mention 9pm to 4am only ... very strange.

No, the 9pm to 4 am is what it _used_ to be (not sure when it changed) -
I got that information from the Radio Times (which now does not show
FreeView 59 among ITV3's +1 channels at all, only Sky/FreeSat/Virgin).

If you look at the EPG (for Channel 59), it shows a programme called
"This is ITV3 +1" for the times it is not broadcasting, which is the
sort of thing all such channels show: this is the very boring programme
consisting of just the above info card. (Very low bandwidth too - if you
switch to them, it takes tens of seconds for the card to appear.)

The Freeview listing web page calls it IV3 +1. It shows Teleshopping
from 04:00 to 06:00 and This is ITV3 +1 for the rest of the day, the
description for which is "Programmes start at 4am. For the full ITV3
schedule, please go to ITV3 on Freeview channel 10."

To answer your question I think it is still called ITV3 +1 but that is
not what it is broadcasting. It is possibly in a transitional state. Did
somebody at ITV forget to pay a bill over the holiday?

With ITVX now making pretty much all ITV content available at any time, I
suspect that the economic benefits of broadcasting a minor channel twice
have evaporated, and subletting it to a teleshopping outfit for two hours a
day is more profitable until a new channel wants the slot.

though I've no idea if or how it relates.
