----------------------------------------------------

If I can trust this cast list, then we shall be hearing from Kevin
Ambrose this week. I don't know who he is, but his friend, Richard
Derrington, was once a friend of Mark Hebden. It seems odd that he
should return just after Shula has departed.

This week the online(*) RT cast list names 75 (or thereabouts)
characters. I was going to say all possible characters, but I notice
that it does not include Debbie, who is possible, but does include Bert
Fry, who shouldn't be possible. It does include many that we haven't
heard from for years, eg Christine, Carol & Richard Locke. I'm assuming
that these are not all going to turn up this week, and have given you
the BBC cast list above.

(*) My paper RT has not turned up this week, so I can't tell you whether
it has done the same.

left the village?

A midwife, I presume.

Yes, first at the festival, where they met, and then in The Bull, when
Joy went to meet up with him, taking Pat with her for protection.

He was fairly unrecognisable after he met the tree.

Did the tree taste nice as I assume he met it head on?

Any enjoyment and savouring the flavour would have been somewhat truncated
I feel.

Don't think of branching out into tree puns, just leave it there.

People will quickly get sycamore tree puns, so no more old chestnuts,
please, or we might have to bring back the birch.
