How are people watching there dvds out there...........?

I currently watch 1.85:1 and 2.35:1 anamorphic in wide mode on my tv

however if the discs arent anamorphic i tend to use the tv`s zoom mode to
increase the picture size a little......?

is this what everyone is doing or r u all watching everything in wide mode?

I stopped buying DVDs which are not anamorphic.

However, the few i have i view in 4:3 mode or sometimes i zoom in using
"cinema" mode. Cinema mode is a mode on my tv which keeps the aspect ratio
correct and has no stretching effect. Problem is that you can sometimes get
scan lines appearing.

Watching non-anamorphic widescreen material in wide mode would be ugly.

yep-that's exactly what you should be doing.
