tesco store bargains

Our local Tesco (Camberley) was selling Bush 28" widescreen TVs for £196
today
And Dansai 1100 DVD player for £59
Plus there was a £10 off when you spend over £30 in the electrical
department voucher that was distributed in a leaflet drop earlier last
week.

Not a bad start for a budget home cinema.
Less than £250 for widescreen TV and multi-region DVD player.

They had been advertised in the leaflet drop and I thought they would
quickly sell out of the handfull of stock at opening time, but no, my
wife went at lunch time and they were still selling them, so I popped in
mid afternoon and they were still selling the TVs. It was a bizarre site
in the car park with seemingly every other shopping trolley sporting a
28" TV. They seemed to be wheeling out a neverending supply from the
back as quick as people were taking them off the shelf.
They must have sold hundreds.

They also had a very nice looking Ventura (?) all-in-one DVD DTS/DD Amp,
sub-woofer, satellite speaker system for £199

And also were doing VAT free DVDs.
Again with a voucher - this time £2 off when you spend over £9
So I picked up the new "Mike Basset England Manager" for just £11.58

You could have picked up many of the current DVD chart for this price.
Often when these types of promotions run the prices mysteriously rise
just before, but in this case they still had things like American Pie 2
at a very reasonable starting price of £15.97, then minus £2.39 VAT
free, then use the £2 off voucher - so £11.58

The place is enormous now.
The electrical section looks like a branch of Currys
