Toshiba rear projection TV 43PJ03 40PW03G 50PJ98G

I decided to buy rear projector TV set because it’s a good compromise
between image’s quality and size.

Based on what I was able to read on the net, Toshiba have a very good
reputation.

But it’s a bit difficult to make a choice, because too often they are badly
sets in shops.

I retained 3 models:
43PJ03 (4/3)
40PW03 (16/9)
50PJ98G (4/3)

Is there a difference concerning the image’s quality among the three? For my
part I saw the 43PJ and the 40PW and haven’t noticed any slight differences,
but it is true that the conditions were certainly not perfected. Because if
there is no difference, 43PJ03 seems to be me more general-purpose than 40
PW 03G, the surface of the screen is identical in 16/9, and is naturally
superior in 4/3. I’ am also tempted by the 50PJ98G, it’s a bit more
expensive but endowed Dolby DD and has much larger screen. Now I have not
seen it in expo in any shops. And what I read in newsgroups about it,
criticize especially the convergence system, which is much more delicate to
set that for the others. I wonder as well about the image’s quality that I
fear may be fairly inferior.

the PW sets are old, their replacements WH are much better!

Have you looked at the new Sony Range with DRMC?

Home Cinema regards them as the only RP to buy.
