SCAN 2000 DVD Player

Has anyone had experience of the SCAN2000?

It looks like a good budget machine from the reviews I've seen.

Also, will it support Dolby 5.1 and DTS if connected to a suitable Amp? The
reviews are ambiguous on this point.

I've got (returning!) the Daewoo player which is the same. It has very dab
artifacting in the picture which apparently will be sorted (according to
scan on http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/forums/default.asp?Forum=211) by the
end of October. If it did not have the picture problems I would give this 5
stars as it's easy to have / fast / clean looking / nice remote, however for
now I'll stick with my Wharfdale which is slow but has excellent picture!
