I don't know if they are going to be replaced or not but if they are, that
does not automatically make them bad speakers. I used Q35.2's for front
mains before I got a good deal on a pair of Kef Reference one's. they are
good speakers (the 35.s's not the ref one's)(well, the ref one's are bloody
good too:) so if you can get them cheap, they are well worth considering.

The Q35.2 is being replaced by the Q3 I think.
(It seems all the product numbers are going from Qx5.2 to Qx).
No mention of this on the KEF site though.
Stock due anytime now.
I guess the price the new ones come out at will influence your choice, but
as far as the Q35.2s go - I got some in March this year and am very happy
with them. I've read that some dance music enthusiasts think the bass is
their weakness. Well - I'm into the same music, but disagree - I'm very
happy with the bass. It's crisp (how I like it) and not boomy (I'm guessing
how they like it!)
I've yet to try them in an AV setup, but that'll all change when my AV
receiver arrives. :-)
But the best way to tell, of course, is by listening to them.

Yes. Well worth £200 IMO, even with a new model coming out. It's
unlikely to be that different to
the current model after all. I got some a year ago solely for use with
music, after demo'ing a
number of speakers in that price range.
They don't seem to have any weaknesses IMO, except perhaps the bass
isn't as impressive
as you might expect if you'd just upgraded from a bookshelf speaker as
I had. The biggest
strength seems to be imaging and clarity, which just has me playing
all my old CD's over
again. I'd bite their hand off for £200 if they're the .2 models.
