I went to the "What Hifi?" Expo in Bristol last week.
I heard the enchanced dolby digital from Yamaha in 7 channels.
Which sounded brilliant.

But I was truely blown away by Sony's DVD player demo.
He told us that if they really wanted to carry this Multichannel thing on.
As in Yamahas 7 channels,etc.

SDDS has 8 seprate channels.
I wanted him to go into more detail, but some wanted to buy a FD Trintron.

I just want more info on SDDS?
Anything?

And whats next from Dolby?

Sony has no plans to use SDDS in consumer electronics.

Next? As far as I know neither DVD or AC-3 has even begun its life in
Europe...

BTW: MPEG-AAC supports 48 channels and 15 LFE tracks...
