Can anyboby settle an argument?
Is Simon Callow dead or alive ?
And, Mr Callow if you're reading this I'm sorry, but I've got to know.

Wasn't it Simon Cadell who died? (of cancer IIRC)

if he's dead he died *incredibly* recently (and with a remarkable lack
of fanfare), as he reviewed a newly-published biography of Peter Brook
in one of the papers over the weekend!

I suspect you're thinking of Simon Cadell of 'Hi-De-Hi' fame.

Well he did die in "Four Weddings and a Funeral" - but I think that
was only acting.

And he looked OK when I photographed him a couple of months back.

He was very alive a couple of weeks ago when I passed him on Hungerford
Bridge. Maybe after we passed he jumped off.

Certain parts of him are dead - hair, dermis, arguably faecal matter
and other excrement in or out. The rest is more or less alive even
after he has breathed his last. Doctors give 8 general causes of
mortality, but don't define death. The actor - the *act* - is
different entirely and neither lives nor dies.

Me and my husband also thought he died a few years back and remember thinking at that time that he died in the eighties - we're clearly insane

Weird. My husband and I both thought he had died. I remember thinking that outlander must have been the last thing he did. Then he turned up on tv a few weeks after we had had that conversation. Think we must be going mutually mad!!! LOL!

He definitely died. Then in Nov 2017 I shifted realities and he's alive here.
