Just got this from hotmail..

" To help protect our users from automatically generated junk e-mail (or
spam), MSN Hotmail periodically asks for identity verification.

Please go to http://www.hotmail.msn.com and follow the instructions.
It takes only a few minutes and you can then return to using your Hotmail
account.

Thank you for helping us to help reduce your junk e-mail.
Sincerely,
MSN Hotmail Staff

Please do not reply to this e-mail as this is an unmonitored alias."

I need to login to my hotmail email account- it looks like not going to work
until I login. However I've forgot the password and security code. I can't
even pickup emails. I've only got the hidden password in outlook email
account settings. Is there any way of finding out what the asterisked out
password is?

ta

Are you *sure* its from them, and it isn`t redirecting you to a spoofed
site ?

Are you reading your mail in html or plain text ? - plain text is always
the safest option - Outlook NEVER is.

I can confirm that that's a genuine site - I just went there and logged into
a disposable account I've got, where it doesn't matter if it gets hacked.
All in order.

Sorry Nath - I can't remember the name of the password-reading utility, have
you tried tucows - I'm sure there's a freeware program....

Snadboy's Revelation is the best tool I know for displaying hidden
passwords - free download from www.snadboy.com

I have been getting this on Outlook for my hotmail.
I can check mail fine but as soon as I try and send anything from Hotmail
through outlook I get the same message and it hides my downloaded mail and
usually makes other folders dissapear like Junk and personal folders

I have to log into Hotmail like 20 times a day and it is getting on my tits
now.

i keep getting the same thing and its terrible. i use hotmail popper
with opera and it wont send til i authenticate a billion times. i read
that hotmail is restricting the use of using outside clients and now
only allows you to do it if you pay. atleast thats what the hotmail
popper site says: Please Note: Microsoft has recently decided that only
paying members will be able access Hotmail using outside services such
as Hotmail Popper. Hotmail Popper will continue working with a "Hotmail
Plus" (or equivalent MSN) account.

i wish there was some way around this. id be such a pain to transfer
my emails to gmail or some other place that allows me this.
