Nope but I don't possess the R2 I've got the R1 and I saved 12p - none
of this 10p business - it's not worth it ;)

Well, I went to university in Sheffield, but that was in 1979, and the DVD
revolution was a long way off.

Before you buy.
Did it ever occur to you that they might actually have wanted to buy
both those discs ?
Yes, I was just thinking that myself.. after all, one would imagine that
both The Mummy and X Files: The Movie (the case mentioned) would both have
been popular and, since the genre is similar (sci-fi/horror), praps the guy
was a sci-fi/horror fan...
I agree, I bought The Mummy in WhSmith, saw the offer so I decided to buy
Titanic as well. I always wanted it but thought £24.99 was far too much,
this way I got both for £15 each and didn't get hassled by someone wanting
to go halves on The Mummy!!!

Just to clarify whether this fella really does need sorting out good and
proper....
I take it you were going to do the honourable thing and let *him* keep the
receipt? Just in case his disc needed to be returned.

Regarding The Long Kiss Goodnight - no 5/1 sound, only Dolby Prologic,
saw me coming down the tracks to buy that one. Have ordered it on
Region 1 for when my player is sorted and will be back at PC World
tomorrow giving them what for.
I know the film is not to most people's so selective tastes but hey it
takes alsorts.

So you didn't want another film? if so then why didn't you order it
online Play247 had it for (UKP)14.99 so you would have saved yourself
(UKP)00.01?

I am a student at Sheffield at the mo - I've got a PC based solution...

The Meadowhall branch also has the £10 budget dvds stickered with 2
for £30... hmm sounds like a bargain :)

My WHSmiths has a tiny four shelf carboard stand (with about 20 DVDs available
to buy). Right next door Woolworths has a three shelf stand - but it's
jam-packed with titles - almost 200, I think. Plus they've started the "Buy 1
get 1 half price" offer that's becoming popular.
