Thank you for your response.
As stated in my previous email, the campaign stock for 'X-Files Season 1'
DVD box set was extremely limited. HMV UK Limited had negotiated with the
suppliers 'Fox' to get an allocation of the stock at a reduced cost,
enabling us to offer a limited quantity of the set at a reduced price. This
was strictly a one off purchase from the suppliers, and the stock was
distributed amongst the HMV chain. Stock was allocated to stores in
accordance with their size and turnover. The allocation to HMV.co.uk was
allocated to the first ten customers who ordered the item.
As stated in the confirmation email, we endeavour to bring our customers the
best value we can by running special offers, but please remember stocks are
limited and subject to availability. We update our web site as quickly as we
can to minimise disappointment. Rest assured your credit card will only be
debited as your order or individual items from your order are dispatched.
You will only be charged once for postage and packing costs for part shipped
orders.
As way of an apology I would like to offer you, without prejudice, £10 of
HMV E-Coupons which may be used against purchases on the HMV web site. The
codes for the e-coupons are below:
xxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxx
Details of how to redeem your e-coupon can be found on the Customer Service
Pages of the HMV web site.
Once again, please accept my sincere apologies that we were unable to fulfil
your order in this instance, and please rest assured that this is a very
rare occurrence and we have taken steps to ensure that this does not happen
again.
Regards,
Andrew Cherrett
