Does anyone remember Gilbert The Alien, who started life on a Saturday
morning kids' show called Get Fresh, and then got his own show called
"Gilberts Fridge" ?
Who can we contact to try to get this brilliant show released on DVD ?

I think your memories have been through the filter of childhood - i recall
it as being non brilliant (!)

I loved this show, the voice was done by Phil Cornwell, and it's the only
decent thing Tyne Tees have made since "The Tube". I remember the Geordie
Potato fancier , and "How far to Hitchen" POW sketches particularly fondly,
but time may have coloured my memories, it may actually be awful ( and I was
about 20 at the time!)

James Hopkinson spoke thusly:

You must be dreaming, but not in clour cos us human gadgers aren't
equiped to do that.
Was it Michaela on his Sunny Jolly Hols?

Eh ?
I've had loads of dreams in colour !
I stand by my statement - Gilberts Fridge was BRILLIANT !
Rib - achingly funny.
But getting back to my question - is there anywhere we can petition for this
show to appear on DVD ?
Come on, Gilbert fans - there must be more than two of us !

One of the regular sketches alwayes ended with Gilbert saying that.

It was fantastic, I even still have the poster magazine with extra
plinths. There was also a show called gilbert's late but that wasn't
shown nationwide, you had to be a north eastern gadger to see that as it
was Tyne Tees only.

I'd buy it in an instant but I doubt we'll ever see it.

I meant "coloured" in the sense of "rose coloured glasses" (i.e. through a
figurative filter- which in this case would be the passage of time and
nostalgia) and I didn't mention 'dreams' at all. I am sure it is still very
funny, but often revisiting the past ( and again I don't mean literally) can
be dissapointing.

It was Tosh who mentioned the dreams in colour.
I didn't realise you meant the "rose - coloured glasses" sort of colour !
