> I'm looking 4 a DVD player/writer
Have you checked behind the fridge? If you lose something it's nearly
always there. I'm looking for a pen. Anyone else care to share any
things they've lost?

Complete and utter rubbish.
There are currently two formats available for DVD Writers.
DVD-R and DVD-Ram, and both have been available for a while. DVD-R has been
around nearly as long as DVD, and DVD Ram has been around since the middle
of last year.
The only problem is price.
DVD-R's are still ludicrously expensive, but Pioneer have a new one out soon
that can write the full 4.75 Gb to the disc, for approx $5000.
DVD-Ram is available in the states, but I'm not too sure about here
yet....You can buy one from Creative Labs for $499 and to prove it....
