THE YORKSHIRE RIPPER COVER-UP revisited /

Michael Nicholson's book

=========================================================

Evaluation of the book titled "The Yorkshire Ripper" by Michael Nicholson,
Star Books / W. H. Allen, 1979.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the most reliable information on The Yorkshire Ripper Cover-up, look mainly to what was written before or immediately after Peter Sutcliffe's arrest in January 1981.

Almost everything written after 1981 about this case was *revisionist* - rewriting history, Winston Smith style, to buttress up the Peter Sutcliffe Myth, which always collapses under scrutiny.

Michael Nicholson was honest in writing his book.
He had no reason to lie.
In 1979 he did not know about *The Terrible Thing That Was Coming*.
He did not know that they were going to pin the Yorkshire Ripper killings on Peter Sutcliffe.

[Peter Sutcliffe began his clumsy, non-fatal assaults on Anna, Olive and Tracey in the early months of 1975, BEFORE The Yorkshire Ripper attacks commenced in October 1975.]

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Having said that, Michael Nicholson's book is only a little bit helpful to genuine truth seekers on The Yorkshire Ripper Cover-up, but still it is worth looking at.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michael Nicholson makes the point that there were a number of maniacal killers loose in the north of England in the late 1970s.

Prior to Peter Sutcliffe's arrest, George Oldfield said to the Sunday Times 'Insight' team that he was looking for not one Ripper but "at least two."

So were there THREE Yorkshire Rippers?

[There's no harm in repeating the following any number of times, to counteract the constant brainwash in the bogus TV documentaries: Peter Sutcliffe began his clumsy, non-fatal assaults on Anna, Olive and Tracey in the early months of 1975, BEFORE The Yorkshire Ripper attacks commenced in October 1975.]

Jayne MacDonald's boyfriend is named as Mark James.

Other writers on the subject do not name him.

Nobody would want to be in Mark James' shoes - the boy who was responsible for escorting Jayne MacDonald home that night...... and then, blind drunk, he left sixteen-year-old Jayne MacDonald to walk home alone, unescorted, unprotected, across the mean streets of Harehills and Chapeltown at 2 am, at the height of the Yorkshire Ripper scare....

In the unlikely event that Mark James reads this, I only wish him well. You were drunk that night. I'm a drunk too. I understand.
But I know for sure that it's always best to see the truth clearly with regard to prominent events in your past.
And it doesn't get much more prominent than being the boy who left Jayne MacDonald alone and unescorted and unprotected on that terrible night in Leeds.

(I'm on your side. What I'm saying is it's always best to see with full clarity the truth about prominent events or prominent episodes in your past.)

HELEN RYTKA'S POEM

Ah no... I can't take this.

The following poem was written by Helen Rytka in 1975, the year The Yorkshire Ripper appeared.

=========

HELEN RYTKA'S POEM:

Loneliness is to live in a world
Where people do not care
Loneliness is to go outside
To find no one is there
And you fall down in despair
Falling on your knees in prayer
Asking God to rescue you
From this cruel snare
But no one comes
No voice is heard
No one cares if I was lured
Lured into the deepest hole
Cast aside by those so cruel
And treated like a mule
Yes!
Loneliness is to live this way
Day after day
Yet I would pray
So that some day
Love may find an open way
Unloved is to miss the love
That all parents should give
Yet they cast you aside
Put you out of their minds
They put you in care
There is no love there
Yet the staff really care
Or they wouldn't be there
Yet I know I shall die
As my years drag by
Oh, why was it me, Lord?
Why?

This is difficult. She wrote that poem in 1975, just as The Yorkshire Ripper (NOT Peter Sutcliffe) first made himself known in Scott Hall Avenue in Leeds in October 1975 (killing Wilma McCann).

Three years later, Helen Rytka was killed and mutilated by The Yorkshire Ripper (NOT Peter Sutcliffe) in a grubby timber yard in Huddersfield.

[Peter Sutcliffe began his clumsy, non-fatal assaults on Anna, Olive and Tracey in the early months of 1975, BEFORE The Yorkshire Ripper attacks commenced in October 1975.]

Helen's prophetic poem makes it all unbearably poignant.

I'M JACK !

"At this stage it is impossible to establish with absolute certainty the genuineness of the tape. There remains a possibility that it may be no more than a cruel joke. However Mr Oldfield was obviously fairly confident that he was in possession of the genuine article. The handwriting on the envelope in which the tape was sent was the same as that in the other letters received by the police from the Ripper, one of which had been passed on by the Manchester office of the Daily Mirror. Each of these contained intimate details about the killings which police believe only the Ripper could know."

No further comment.

WHAT IS A GEORDIE ACCENT?

"Sunderland [= Castletown] and Newcastle are within ten miles of each other."

No further comment.

"Maureen Long's description of her attacker was that he was 'six feet tall and well made, with wiry blond hair, thick eyebrows, puffed cheeks and noticeably large hands.'"

As good as a photograph of Billy Tracey?

Were there THREE Yorkshire Rippers?

INTERESTING PREDICTION BY MICHAEL NICHOLSON:

"I would ...estimate that the interval between arrest and trial will prove to be somewhat protracted and expensive requiring a great deal of further investigation and liaison between police forces. Quite naturally, the various police forces involved will be anxious to clear up their own Ripper murders and to secure convictions where possible."

Excellent prediction, Michael. But you wrote that in 1979, and you didn't know what would come to pass soon - The Terrible Thing That Was Coming.

In fact, Peter Sutcliffe arrived in the Old Bailey only about three months after his arrest, because they had to *strike while the iron was hot*.

It was a rush job / express service / VIP treatment. They had to RUSH Peter Sutcliffe through the Old Bailey while he could still be relied on to read from the script.

And so the Peter Sutcliffe Myth was born.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Page 166:

I hadn't heard of this before - the fact that the tape recording of 1979 was played in jails throughout England to prison officers and prisoners in the hope that the voice would be recognised.

But that was a wild goose chase from start to finish.
A nonsequitor.
No serial killer would be so stupid as to use his own voice on such a recording.

AND ONE THING WE KNOW FOR SURE ABOUT THE YORKSHIRE RIPPER IS THAT HE WAS *NOT* STUPID.

Please forward this message to Michael Bilton as his name is mentioned in the links above and he has no public email address and I don't like to talk about people behind their backs .... ....apart from Gill Langley who is not entitled to any respect.
We're all in this together; the embarrassment belongs to all of us.
