I do my best. Fortunately my two main UK groups - uk.sport.cricket and
uk.sci.weather - are still going strong, though nowhere near as busy as
they were say 15 years ago. I don't see much spam, as my news server -
news.individual.net - does a very good job of filtering it out.

Thanks. I did try the Cranleigh one (I'm not sure if it's the same one
as yours) a few months back, but I found that it wasn't at all to my
taste. II attempted to unsubscribe, but it seemed to be impossible, so
I'm still getting their emails but I don't read them.
