I went through the speed camera on the Tamar Bridge late last night -
about 1.15 a.m. It flashed twice. I was doing about 45 mph. What are the
likely consequences?

Nothing. Even if it flashes it is unlikely to have film in.

Two flashes and a ticket will be winging it's way to you as we speak. I
assume that it is a 30 limit? Expect about fifty quid and 3 points :(

Depends whether you are more worried about getting caught or whether you
care about keeping to speed limits. I have just this morning lost my dog
thanks to her being hit by a speeding driver. Slow down, keep to the limits
and no camera will flash at you. Pretty simple common sense, eh?

And from the flashes I thought it was some drunken revellers letting off
fireworks down there in Saltash.
You see, because we're high up here you can see the western end and the
carriage way of the Tamar Bridge in the far far distance.

You should have seen the fireworks down there in Plymouth last night, what
makes you think it's a Labour stronghold.

I know it's very easy to make a mistake and miss one of those camera signs
but the Police do warn you and if you drive down the Parkway (A38) towards
the Bridge you see at least two of those signs telling you that there's
GATSO's about. I nearly got caught by one at the bottom of Notter Bridge
hill coming out of Landrake towards the Bridge the other day. Phew! That
was a close one! Didn't see the markings on the road until I was about sixty
feet away ............... quickest twelve mile an hour I lost, I'll tell
you.

BTW it was the first time down to Cornwall for me last week, the first time
in ages I expect 'cause they've put a fifty mile an hour speed limit and
GATSO cameras right thro' the Notter Bridge valley and up to Landrake.
