Good luck to you. I ran a B&B in Brecon for a few years.
A lovely part of the world to live.
Got to be better than trying to survive in a country pub these days..

Hmm, is this a can of an outsider putting together a couple of lurvely
sounding Welsh words ang and making a mockery?
Pont Aber to me is 'Bridge 'over the' river mouth' ...
1) River mouth indicates a river emerging into the sea - not here!
2) A bridge over a river mouth would need to be huge - think Severn
Bridge -- again not in the Beacons...
3)Oh and the river 'in the garden' is about 100 yards away across the
other side of the road, so so much for the bridge as well....

Equally commonly a confluence (Abernant seems to be quite a common
place name).

Aber also means confluence, i.e one river flowing into another, as in
Aberdare, where the Dare flows into the Cynon, and Abercynon, where the
Cynon flows into the Taff.

Ok, but not there - the one river is 100 yards away and doesn't have a
confluence or a bridge....
Reading this thread the must be some very sad people around!
Best of luck to the Pontaber as a B&B
Nah, just very bored.
This is the longest thread this group has seen since the //twat\\ wars
of 2002...

My nan used to do that, and she smelt of piss, just like him, the
arguing bit not the football bit.
