Nob Inn - Bury Bolton Canal - Nob End - Little Lever

Does anyone have any information - old photographs - newspaper articles
etc. on either the Bury Bolton Canal or the area known as Nob End or the
former Nob Inn Pub at the end of Boscow Road.

I have some photographs and articles going back to the turn of the
century but my information is patchy to say the least and would
appreciate any other info.

Nob End. Knob End perhaps.

try old film footage or even movie memorablia , my grandad used to live up
that end years ago, so as a last resort i can ask him, ,

A late friend of my fathers did quite a lot or research on the Bolton,
Bury & Manchester canal and I think I've got quite a bit of info that
was passed on to me of the Nob End area. I'll have a look what I've got.

If you input 'Nob End' and 'Bury' into a decent search engine you'll get a
couple of dozen hits.
