Is there anyone still reading this group? I'm a refugee from
uk.local.north-staffs, RIP.

Wherever you are from in our fair region, I wish you well!

Hello and yes,

I'm a returnee; used Usenet over 25 years ago and recently got myself a
free account with www.eternal-september.org to make a comeback.

The Web is full of tripe these days and I figure all the trolls have
moved on to social media by now so it's safe to return! :P

Sort of follows my thinking. With Reddit now mostly dead I thought I'd give
usenet another crack after not being here for about 20 years! Quite surprised
to see a number of the uk.* groups are still active, if a little less busy than
they were back in the day.

I never really used any of the uk.local.* groups when they were alive,
just been trawling a handful of other uk.* groups to see which are truly
dead, or which might have a glimmer left ...

We can rebuild, Andy! We can make this unused group for a mind-boggingly
large region of the country useful again!
