did get a load of emails from them ( I signed up as a VIP)seems like its
just Glynn and Jamie...even the owner has had to take over a chat show
on Sundays.

Apparently they have just had a re think and have all new music policy
now.....

Was this the one that Alex Dyke moved to? I must admit, that put me off
trying to listen to it. I do have a wifi radio of sorts anyway, it's a
Philips Streamium, and have it connected to the hifi in the lounge to
stream the mp3s from my pc. I already have IOW radio set up as a channel
on there, if WightFM reappears I'll give it a go.

Angel does carry adds...but not many, which probably reflects the nature
of the station rather than any restrictions.

I don't know of any Internet only radio station that has been a success
( and told them so several times) Internet Radio survives to put out
specialised music and info to a select audience nationwide (or
worldwide) not to compete with the local FM station.

I listen to IOW Radio, it is far better now than it has been, I also
listen to AngelFM and The Coast (ex-OriginalFM)

Martin Potter is hosting the Sunday daytime show so maybe we could ask
him direct how things are going. My guess is that all the presenters
thought (were led to beleive) that they would be the successful
purchasers of IOW Radio...when this didn't happen they fled

Angel Fm (on 101.6 I beleive ) is the community radio station that
broadcats pre 1960's music for an 'older' audience. They are also on
Wight Cable

I Listen to a chap on about 4 O'Clock every day who plays early Blues
and Soul and they do have adverts..but they do all seem to be for small
local shops

Are they 'adverts' in the true sense of the word or more recommendations?
