Westie's post was completely acceptable according to the charter for this
newsgroup.
Yes, have you?
"Contributions are welcome from people who: live, study, work or have an
interest in the area"
Westie is one of the longest posters here and lives in Glasgow. That
qualifies her to talk about whatever she likes. What contribution have
you made? Do you even live in Glasgow? Ever raised anything whatsoever
that relates to Glasgow or the people in it, 'David'? Thought not.
This is uk.local.glasgow, not alt.support.depression.seasonal.
newsgroup. Have you read the charter?

Yes, and I obviously understand it.

It also states:
"uk.local.glasgow is for the discussion of issues relating to the
Glasgow area, which includes the city itself and other nearby areas
which are not covered by other uk.local.* groups."
The post in question in no way relates to Glasgow and is therefore
off-topic.
>Westie is one of the longest posters here and lives in Glasgow.
And that matters? It certainly doesn't give her a right to post
against the Charter. Or does she think she owns this group just
because she's been here for some time?
>That qualifies her to talk about whatever she likes.
It most certainly does *not*.
>What contribution have you made?
I'm making one right now.
>Do you even live in Glasgow?
Mind your own business.
Yes, I've read it and I clearly understand it far better than you do.
I reckon "because I live in the west end and the mass of folks are SUCH
bloody bams" makes it about Glasgow and the fact that she lives in Glasgow
also makes it relevant.
Don't know anything about but if you're trying to make an impression with
your first(?) post, you've managed it.
No you don't. I shall spell it out since you are clearly a little slow.
"uk.local.glasgow is for the discussion of issues relating to the Glasgow
area"
westie is felling S.A.D.
westie is in Glasgow
Can you not spot a relation there to the Glasgow area? If you can't figure
it out, it's probably best not to say so since it would only serve to
highlight your crass stupidly further.
btw
I do know you are trolling and any further posts will be ignored
No, you're the one who is having problems understanding the Charter.
Go here http://www.usenet.org.uk/uk.local.glasgow.html print out the
Charter for this newsgroup, study it, then come back when you
understand it.
>"uk.local.glasgow is for the discussion of issues relating to the Glasgow

And that means "relating to the Glasgow area" nothing else.
>westie is felling S.A.D.

No, because there isn't one. Now, if westie were feeling sad because
she lives in Glasgow, that would be a different matter.

It was a better effort than some of the crud that's been slithering down the
ulg gutter lately - at least he attempted a build up (even if it was too
quick and had a Flamebait Rating of zilch). Well written, but a bit plooky
and gimboid; not quite a breath of fresh air, but better than slithering

It certainly looks as if that's the case.
I've been diagnosed with clinical depression, and ah'm on the prozac.
Until then, I never actually 'believed' in depression, like it was just an
excuse people had for being 'fed up'.
Since I've been told I'm depressed, I actually feel worse off. The happy
pills aren't working, I have a sense of paranoia and I have this constant
feeling of dread - you know that knot in your stomach when you've been
caught fibbing to your mum about something innocent enough? - that ALL the
time.
I stopped drinking, and started eating well a couple of months BEFORE the
diagnosis.... maybe alcohol and chips was keeping me sane!? lol
Anyhoo, see your doctor. Get EVERYTHING off your chest in the knowledge that
nobody else will know about it. You might get some happy pills, you might
no. You might get referred to a counsellor, you might just be told to stop
wasting the doc's time. Doesn't hurt to find out though.

I'd be more inclined to believe there was something wrong with you if you
*didn't* have paranoia and a constant feeling of dread. If dubya gets in
