Hi
This is the second time of asking hopefully I will get some sensible answers
this time.
Has anyone had work done in thier home with a company that does all trades
such as joinery, tiling, and plastering etc. and could recommend a good firm
in the Glasgow area who will do a good job.
Many thanks for any help from Eddie..

Well seeing as I was the only one to post a reply I guess you must be meaning
me.

Perhaps you would care to tell us what wasn't sensible about me (1) asking if
you had insurance and (2) suggesting that you phone them to ask if they had any
companies on their "list" that they use .

Sensible answer below....

I work in housing and use several multi trades. Although i am not passing
on recommendations as my interpretation of a good job might differ from
yours there are a few firms.

Mowlem Technical Services
AJ Kramer
Lambert Contracts
Caledonian All Trades
Hugh Stirling

Obviously you could go to your factor/landlord and ask them who they use
and they may give you a recommendation.

Hope this is sensible enough.

Oddly enough, yesterday I had to venture into the wilds of Partick and I saw
a wee shop that made me think of this thread. The street off Dumbarton Rd
before you head into Merkland Street and Morrisons, the one that's got
Avalon Carpets on the corner ("Discounts for Pensioners") - just up that
road, beside the carpet shop there's a wee shop advertising itself as all
trades - leccies, plumbers, tilers, roofers, plasterers etcetc. Nice shop
front, nice signage professionally done.
Cannae remember the name and havenae got a phone number, hope this helps
:o)
